The Delta Symphony Orchestra will present its American Classics Spring Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Arkansas State University Fowler Center. 

The concert, under the direction of Neale Bartee, will feature Dvorak's New World Symphony and George Gershwin's Cuban Overture.

After a brief intermission, Donna Baker will take the podium as the 2012 Guest Conductor.  Baker, who was the highest bidder on the "Conductor's Baton" at the Symphony's Gala Event Last Fall, will conduct When I Fall in Love.

Members of the Jonesboro Visual and Performing Arts Orff Ensemble will join the orchestra for the premiere of "Arkansas Suite," featuring Arkansas folk songs.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior adults and $10 for students.  They may be purchased online at tickets.astate.edu or by calling 972-ASU1.  Group rates are also available by calling 870-761-2747.
