Panera Bread now open for business | Business

On a cold, rainy day nothing warms you like a hot cup of coffee and a fresh pastry.

Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce members enjoyed both Wednesday morning at the grand opening of Panera Bread, 2213 Stadium Blvd.

The restaurant offers a variety of fresh-baked breads, bagels and pastries as well as hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea and chai tea.  Panera Bread is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Before the red ribbon was cut, the ASU Choir serenaded the assembled crowd.  This week the restaurant will collect donations for the choir.  When the week is over, the store will match all of the collected donations.

Panera Bread also donates unsold bread daily to local hunger relief organizations.
