Searchers needed to help find missing girl | Community Spirit
Able-bodied people, especially those with boats and all-terrain vehicles, are encouraged to help in the search for a missing Walnut Ridge girl.
The Walnut Ridge Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office are planning a volunteer search for 14-year-old Sidney Randall on Saturday, March 30.
Volunteers are asked to meet at the police department at 9 a.m. where they will be assigned specific areas to search, according to a news release from Sheriff Jody Dotson. Volunteers must sign-in before they will be assigned a search area.
“We need as many able-bodied searchers as we can get,” Sheriff Dotson said. “We have a large area to search.”
He also encourages searchers with all-terrain vehicles to bring them. “They will come in very handy throughout the day,” Dotson said.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team will also be out searching bodies of water. Dotson said “Any searcher with a small boat is welcome to bring their boat and will be assigned to an area of water.”
Sheriff Dotson also asks that everyone share this information.
“We need as many people as we can get for this search,” he said.
