Woman rearrested following surprise drug test | Crime
A Region 8 woman is back behind bars after investigators say she failed a surprise drug test.
Jackie Parish, 37, of Black Rock is charged with violating probation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies arrested Parish on Tuesday after receiving information from a concerned citizen that she was using meth, according to an email from Sheriff Jody Dotson.
Deputies contacted her probation officer who then called Parish in for a surprise drug test.
According to Dotson, after testing positive for methamphetamine Parish told officers “she had done meth for two days before” which is a violation of her probation and terms of her suspended imposition of sentence (SIS).
Deputies then took Parish to her home where they reported finding drug paraphernalia to smoke meth and marijuana.
Parish was taken to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
