Teens arrested, charged with breaking into school | Crime
Two Imboden teens have been arrested in connection with a break-in at Sloan-Hendrix High School.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson, the 16- and 17-year-old suspects broke into the school’s bus shop on June 2 and vandalized a vehicle. They also reportedly urinated on the floor.
The teens are also accused of breaking into the cafeteria and stealing a laptop computer.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested the two suspects on Monday, August 13, and charged them with commercial burglary, theft of property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. They’re scheduled to appear in juvenile court on September 5.
Sheriff Dotson says the computer was recovered and returned to school officials.
