Woman charged with DWI-4, auto theft after hitting train
A Lawrence County woman faces a variety of charges, including driving while intoxicated (DWI) and auto theft, after investigators say she drove a car into a passing train.
According to Sheriff Jody Dotson, a deputy stopped at a train crossing reportedly saw a 2001 Chevy Camaro driven by Amanda Graves, 29, of Hoxie driven into a passing train.
When the deputy went to check on Graves he “noticed a strong odor of alcohol.” Graves, who told the deputy she was not injured, reportedly admitted she had been drinking.
