Title (Max 100 Characters)
Is your son or daughter a home run hero? Do you have a fielder who shags all the fly balls and steals all the bases?
This weekend they can put their skills to the test at the Major League Baseball "Pitch, Hit and Run Competition."
The Jonesboro Jaycees will host the event at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Southside Softball Complex.
The event, which is sponsored by Aquafina, provides kids 7-14 a chance to participate, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes their individual excellence in core baseball and softball skills.
The individual pitching, hitting and running champions, along with the all-around champion in each age group will receive an award and advance to the sectional levels.
All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver before the start of the competition.
For more information, contact local coordinator Amber Maurizi at (870) 243-2241 or email her at ammaurizi@hotmail.com or visit www.jonesborojaycees.org
