Alta Lou Lawson | Families
Alta Lou Lawson, 91, of Walnut Ridge passed away Saturday at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. She was born December 17, 1920 in the Little Brown Community to Frank and Alma Lou Oden McQuay. She was a lifetime resident of Lawrence County and a homemaker. She was a member of the Cache River Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oakley Ervin Lawson; one daughter, Louis Angeline; two sons, Oakley and Spurgin Lawson; four sisters, Zora Farmer, Roma Bagwell, Edith Lawson and Nola Cloyd; one brother, Earl McQuay and one granddaughter, Vanessa Lawson.
She is survived by sons, Elanzo Lawson of Sedgwick, Bill Lawson of the Greensboro Community, Gene Lawson of Sedgwick and Ronnie Lawson of Fontaine, daughter, Ellen Tilley of Nettleton; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m.Wednesday at House Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Burial will follow in Old Military Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
