Sheriff Dotson announces candidacy | News

Jody Dotson wants to continue being Lawrence County's sheriff.

Earlier this week Sheriff Dotson announced his candidacy for election.

Dotson started his law enforcement career as a Lawrence County reserve deputy.  In 2010 he succeeded Sheriff Dan Ellison who retired that year.

In a press release, Sheriff Dotson said:

I enjoy serving you as your sheriff and would like to ask you for your continued support. With your continued support this office will continue to move forward and be a sheriff’s office that you can be proud of.
